Made this one for a client who is celebrating her 3rd wedding anniversary. It´s based on a dance they did in their wedding to the song “intergalactic” by Beasty Boys. I named it “LauraLove” cause it´s a gift celebrating love and commitment through marriage. And now it´s finally finished! Hurray. What you think?
Running on the path in front of me.
The crocked roots are reaching for my legs,
trying to capture me and keep me in the dark forest.
I keep on running in the rain,
avoiding the roots and their grabbing arms.
Leaves are whispering about me, scaring me with tales about my past,
whispering fearful thoughts about what the future will bring.
I refuse to be captured in the dark.
I keep on running on the narrow road that is laid up for me,
my heart beating hard making drum noise in my ears.
I know that the solution lies in front of me.
Running blind with my arms grasping for answers,
but the answers I seek are drowning the sorrowful surroundings.
Yesterday me and Lucas went to Daan day at ‘Daan & Daan’, a bar close to where Renée and Daan lives. There we had a couple of beers with Renske included before we had a lovely veggie dinner at R and D´s place. Yummy!
The lovely people! Lucas, Renée, Daan and Renske.
And I found myself a new wig! Moaha. Made out of a Norwegian troll souvenir. Lol.
Had a bit to much yummylishious wine also, so today we have been taking it slow and chill. Just started watching this new series today called ‘The Bletchley Circle’. It is thrilling! Worth checking out. Now I am gonna put myself back on the couch and watch more before I have a early night tonight.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Over and out.
Wow! I am actually really impressed over Lana Del Rey´s video skills. In her short film, “Tropico”, she creates a magical universe with eccentric, dreamy and gloomy aesthetic, conceptual symbol consumption, poetic language and cultural and religious references. I really enjoyed it. Hope you do to! Have a nice weekend!
Since autum is here I bought a quite lovely, and luckily very cheap, rainponcho yesterday to avoid getting soaked when I´m biking. Pretty awesome, right? And the guy who sold it to me told me it was “one of a kind! Now how cool is that!?
Now I can truly expresss my love for Amsterdam everytime it rains. I think it´s great! And the best of all is that the poncho is so huge, just like whearing a tent, so I can also use it for camping! Hurray!
Over and out. Cheers, Maypaj.
